Services like this exist entirely because of ignorance. The employee sharpening your knife doesn't know you and doesn't care about your knife.

What they do know is that you probably can't judge the difference between a good job and a half-assed job, and you probably don't know anyone who can. Otherwise why would you be bringing your knife to them?

Use the service if you want. You might get lucky. Just realize that it's a gamble."

Doug Melven replied there: "I tried using the coupon code Resharp sent me via email at Ace Hardware in Post Falls.
They had no idea what to do, and said its a coupon for a free sharpening after you get 10 done.
Seemed a little bait and switch to me.

One final note here that should be equally telling about RESHARP:

RESHARP has never provided or even talked about actual in-store customer 'testing' of their final sharpening efforts.

So, bring your own notebook paper, telephone book page, or even butcher paper to get your own personal testing results post-sharpening there at your local ACE hardware store. :-o

RESHARP 'promises' to re-grind YOUR knife to factory-sharpness until you're satisfied, yes? (See previous promises).

Better; let the 'professional' ACE employee take your piece of paper & test YOUR knives right in front of your own eyes for all the world to see how really 'world class' RESHARP is?

Question: Why doesn't RESHARP automatically provide this in-store 'paper testing' as real 'proof' to their many 'factory sharp' claims?

Draw your own conclusions obviously. :-}

Perhaps this is why RESHARP has NOT posted ANY other high resolution images anywhere for several years?

The actual few online high res images are from other actual customers BUT poor background lighting and/or edge angles leave a lot to be desired there.

(2) 'Professional sharpening'? IF so, how about some actual BEFORE/AFTER high resolution knife sharpening examples posted online somewhere, anywhere. . .

Two/three plus years & RESHARP has somehow failed to showcase their own handiwork on their own sites? Very odd, yes?

But since RESHARP can't / won't do so for you, then here are 5 following examples of high resolution images of their handiwork from a recent GHS order.
