Recently our Central Mobile was at Camp Ripley for a week working alongside USO Midwest and had the awesome honor of serving troops way out in the field. Troops from all over the country were super excited to see the USO they know and love during the training in the extreme heat as we served them cold refreshments, food and some USO love. Then in the evenings we were able to program on base beside the USO Temp center. Great times!

A National Wind advisory couldn’t stop the Central Sprinter 🚎 teaming up with USO Oklahoma and supporting 2nd Battalion, 18th Field Artillery Regiment’s trunk or treat. What a night, we had games, activities, crafts and of course plenty of candy and costumes. We appreciate Ms. Mary volunteering tonight and running the co****le candy throw, you’re a rockstar!

Wondering how Mobile USO centers came about? The Mobile program was created in 2005 in response to Hurricane Katrina. The USO wanted to have a rapid response unit that could quickly deploy alongside military personnel supporting disaster relief. Over the years, the Mobile USO program has evolved to support disaster relief, annual trainings, pre-deployment trainings, inaugurations, and a variety of other events around the country.
The purpose of the Mobile USO is to take the services of the USO out on the road to service members & their families in areas of the country where there are not USO centers. Mobile USOs often work in partnership with other USO Centers and conduct USO Outreach across the US.
The Mobile USO provides a comfortable place for men and women in uniform to relax and connect online with family and friends during downtime. Each Mobile USO offers large screen televisions, video game consoles, Wi-Fi access, casual seating, coffee makers and microwaves. We currently have 8 vehicles out on the road at any given time and expecting to add two more to our fleet in 2022! Keep your eyes out for our team traveling all around the lower 48!

Big Blue spent the day with USO Colorado at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs passing out pizza, snacks, and drinks to soldiers passing through the Soldier Readiness Center. Our Colorado Mobile Specialists are looking forward to many more events with USO Colorado this winter!

After a long day full of blown fuses and a trip to the auto parts store, our West Mobile has finally been temporarily moved to Fort Carson in Colorado Springs. Over the next few weeks, we will be partnering with USO Colorado to bring the services of the USO to soldiers and airmen in the area! Keep your eyes out on the road for us down south!

CA Sprinter got to hang with the 144th Fighter Wing at the Fresno Air National Guard for their big Family Day! It was all fun and games with tons of Food Trucks, Monster Trucks, face painting, bounce houses, an Air Guard volleyball tournament, tazer demonstration and so much more! We sure love serving our nation’s military and their families! ****le

The Central Sprinter 🚎 had an eventful day at Sheppard Air Force Base and their Sheppard AFB Airman & Family Readiness Center team. We started the morning with our baby shower that included a ton of excitement, plenty of games, raffles and great food. We then loaded up the sprinter with volunteers and drove the base handing out ice cream to start our service members weekend off right!

Our Colorado mobile specialists spent the day passing out donuts and getting to know soldiers and airmen in the Colorado Springs area. We’re looking forward to partnering with USO Colorado and supporting service members throughout the coming winter months!
