The sound of hooves along the sacred grounds of Arlington National Cemetery is more than tradition… it is a final act of honor. A quiet, powerful farewell to a hero who gave everything for this country.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember the brave men and women who never made it home. We honor the sacrifice of those who answered the call to serve and paid the ultimate price for our freedom.

May we never forget the courage carried by our fallen heroes, the grief carried by their families, and the solemn dignity of traditions that ensure their service is forever remembered.

IT’S SHOW DAY! Join us at St. Joe Bridle and Saddle Club this evening starting at 5pm. Everyone is welcome and we have classes for quarter, gaited, and running horses!! Concessions will be available. See you at the show ring!! Make sure to buy raffle tickets at the show for tonight’s raffle basket!

The Fun Class will be the Paper Towel Class, find you a partner and make sure not to rip it! Winner takes the jackpot!

We know it’s been very rainy this week and we have been watching the radar closely. The arena has held up well! With today’s sun and high temperature we do believe the dirt will be in good condition for running classes. There is no water standing but safety is the number one priority. Please make the call for yourself and your horse on the speed you will be running at. Everyone will be responsible for accessing footing conditions and riding at their own risk with their own ability and liability.

Loretto Memorial Day Parade - Loretto will have a Memorial Day Parade again this year on Monday, May 25th. Lineup will be at the Lions Sports Complex beside South Lawrence. Parade starts at 10:30. I was asked to spread the word and invite the horse riders to come be part of the parade. Make plans to help honor our veterans who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Lawrence County Saddle Club is gearing up for the first show of the season TONIGHT at Loretto Bridle & Saddle Club on Busby Rd in Loretto. Show kicks off at 5pm. Classes for quarter, gaited, and running horses and riders of all ages!! Concessions will be available and EVERYONE IS WELCOME!!

Come see the improvements that have been made at the show grounds. Thanks to all of those who have worked tirelessly to get things fixed up. See you at the show!!
