A manual thumb on a Komatsu 290 was half way broke off. Ultimately, the thumb was completely removed, revealing a crack in the stick that was necessary to repair. The crack in the stick was cut out and welded, and the thumb was cleaned and welded back into place.

Stick on hitachi-300 trackhoe cracked on both side of pin bosses and was caved in from pinching rocks. All of the old weld was cut out, chased all the cracks to the end then welded back up with duel shield and plated the stick to keep from caving in more.

Took out old non-adjustable neck and put in a new adjustable one.
