Reposting from Li page - Today, we honor the memory of Billy Jack Johnson, a CIA officer and World War II veteran who gave his life in service to the United States on February 1, 1968.

Billy Johnson was an expert in paramilitary and maritime operations. He was a talented instructor and he became known throughout the Agency for his skill and expertise in unique specialties, such as sabotage, escape and evasion, fingerprint analysis, and lock picking. During his final mission in Southeast Asia, the vehicle Billy was riding in was struck by an enemy mortar. He was killed instantly. Billy Johnson was 49 years old and was survived by his wife and three sons.

Today, we pause to remember Billy Johnson’s courage, dedication, and sacrifice. His commitment to duty, carried out quietly and without public recognition, reflects the highest ideals of service.

We remember. We honor. We carry forward.

This year marks the 78th anniversary of CIA, and we are offering a very unique design. This was shared by a hallwalker who gave us permission to recreate it for this purpose. The original design was done for people inside the building, and we are very honored to be given the nod to offer it to everyone now.
