O2 For Pets Too We at The Groomery are passionate about animals, we know the animal oxygen masks are expensive so very few fire houses are equipped with them in our area.

In order to ensure that all of the fire departments in our surrounding area have these life saving devices we decided to have a fundraiser/adopt-a-thon in late October last year to help purchase the equipment for the fire houses. We raised enough to purchase nine (9) masks, 3 sets of each size. So far we have donated a set to Setauket Fire department and we hope to donate the other 2 sets to local

fire departments that do not have them. We are starting in our community, but hope eventually to spread this throughout Long Island, and maybe even New York State. Please get back to me and let me know if you have these already available to you or if you would like to take one of the sets for your department. We are also trying to raise money to buy more sets and are asking some guys to step forward and “Pose for a Cause” If you are interested in helping us please let us know. [email protected]

Stony Brook Fire Departments open house & fire safety day! We got a few dogs their forever homes at this event & were able to educate & fundraise about the importance of equipping local fire departments with pet oxygen masks!!! Thanks to all who helped!

Animals for adoption, vendors selling goods, and raffles, Chinese auctions, and give-a-ways... how better to spend a little time on a Saturday afternoon than supporting dogs and cats needing homes? Festivities will go on until 4pm, so bring the kids and come down!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once again we are seeking HOT firemen and women willing to pose for a cause with some of our rescue animals for our fundraising calendar!!! If you love animals and are willing to show off your bod to raise money to get dogs and cats out of kill shelters and transported up to New York rescue groups, than send us a message at: [email protected] 100% of the proceeds directly help save the lives of the thousands of animals being euthanized on a daily basis. Bill Rohr, the fire chief at Setauket Fire Department came to the rescue when our own Cheyenne, an employee here lost her 2 kittens (rescued from here as well) down a runoff drain!!! After calling the fire department Bill (a customer of ours and recipient of pet oxygen masks we donated under our group O2 For Pets Too) showed up on the scene! Seeing a friendly and familiar face made the event easier to cope with for our Cheyenne lol. But a huge thank you to Bill and fellow fire men who literally climbed down into the storm drain to rescue two cranky kitties who were missing for days!
