Another 223 Palma rifle on a 40-X action in the making! Hopefully I can finish it up tomorrow - this barrel will get a Manson 223 Fullbore RG3 (Raymond Gross) chamber. Interestingly enough the action would only thread about half way down the tenon at 1.0182 pitch dia. After cleaning up the threads with the Manson arbor tap and bushings all is right with the world!

I expect great things from Lord ORPA this year… I appreciate being entrusted with such responsibility.

The new threading tool is cutting sweet threads too. Still upside down in reverse but now a lay down setup using a 16IR AG60 BXC Carmex in a left hand Iscar external bar with proper -1.5 degree seat to get the orientation correct to the helix. Makes beautiful threads @ 200 rpm.
