It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Orville Fluegge, a man whose influence and values helped shape the foundation of the customer service we still believe in today at Ken’s Ace Hardware.

For 55 years, Orville was a co-owner of Pocahontas Lumber, where he understood that a hardware store was about much more than selling lumber, tools, and supplies. It was about taking care of people, treating customers like neighbors, lending a helping hand, and building relationships that lasted for generations.

Those values didn’t end when his time at Pocahontas Lumber did.

They were passed down through his family and eventually became part of the foundation of Ken’s Ace Hardware.

His impact on our family, our business, and the Southeast Missouri community is something that cannot be measured.

Today, we are proud to continue what he helped start.

Thank you, Orville, for showing us what it truly means to serve others. Your legacy will continue through every customer we help and every neighbor who walks through our doors.
