STOP WORKPLACE BULLYING by management at Deutsche Post, DHL and Exel. I was employed at Exel Logistics (3PL provider for Hewlett Packard/Intel) in Houston Texas for 11 years. I was fired for emailing a manager and office assistant on June 6, 2011. I was accused by management of "disclosing confidential information of and on-going HR investigation to unauthorized personel (my manager and that man
ager's administrative assistant). I had initiated a corporate investigation of the entire facility for discrimination and harassment after I was retaliated against for filing a safety complaint with OSHA. On June 16, I emailed the new site director the same info plus info regarding forklift safety with the OSHA report because in a meeting with the site director on June 15, the director was not aware of the OSHA investigation and that certain equipment had been modified after the investigation. The modifications caused a lack of productivity with the particular lift in question. I was fired on June 16 only 4 hours after I emailed the site director regarding the OSHA investigation and the history of harassment of associates there. In February of 2010 a co-worker, Miguel Gonzalez, had been crushed because his equipment failed. I reported that workers were being trained incorrectly on that particular forklift equipment in August 2010 and because employees were being terminated for allegedly driving incorrectly. OSHA inspected the facility 3 times while management arranged 'staged' areas, modified forklifts, decreased forklift speed, raised rack beams and installed crash bars. By January 2011 the investigation ended and by June 2011, I was written up 4 times. To avoid the 11c Whistleblower's Protection Act against retaliation, managenment has diverted attention to an alleged confidentiality agreement that I never saw, heard of or agreed to (they just made it up). I had requested a local discrimination and harrassment investigation from Deutch Post corporate office for transparency. I had requested an investigation open to all associates but never anything confidential or personal. I reported a culture of harassment and sought to have it resolved.
