♻️ Did you know? Plastic bottles are one of the most recycled plastic products in the United States!
Even better — recycling just 10 plastic bottles saves enough energy to power a laptop for more than 25 hours 💻⚡

Every bottle recycled makes a difference by:
🌎 Conserving energy
♻️ Reducing waste in our landfills
🏔️ Supporting a cleaner environment
💚 Helping build a more sustainable future

We also want everyone to know that we are working hard to get our collections back open. We truly appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during this time, and we know how much of an inconvenience the delay has been. Trust us — we are just as anxious and excited to get everything back up and running! 🙌

Thank you for continuing to support local recycling efforts and a cleaner future for our community. ♻️💚

🇺🇸 This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their courage, service, and dedication will never be forgotten.
As we spend time with family and friends this weekend, let us also take a moment to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy because of those who gave everything in service to our nation. ❤️🤍💙

From all of us at Alaska Plastic Recovery, we thank and remember our fallen heroes today and always.

What was once destined to sit unused or end up in a landfill is now getting a second life as Grizzly Wood. ♻️
Every spool of HDPE pipe represents approximately 1,000 pounds of plastic that can be recycled instead of taking up valuable landfill space or remaining unused indefinitely. By transforming recycled materials into durable Grizzly Wood products, we’re helping reduce waste while creating sustainable solutions built to last.
Turning waste into opportunity — one spool at a time. 🌎

While we work to get our collections up and running again, Valley Community for Recycling Solutions (VCRS) is a great way to keep recycling in the meantime.
VCRS accepts a wide variety of materials, including:
📄 Paper and cardboard
🥤 Aluminum cans
🧴 Plastics
🍾 Glass
♻️ And many other recyclable items
They also have a wonderful reuse library where you can browse books and learn more about recycling and sustainability.
Before making the trip to the Valley, be sure to visit VCRS's website to review the most up-to-date list of accepted materials and drop-off guidelines.
There is a suggested $3 donation to drop off your recyclables, and it is well worth the drive. Not only are you helping divert materials from the landfill, but you are also supporting an organization doing incredible work to advance recycling in Alaska.
Thank you for continuing to recycle and support local organizations making a difference! 🌎💚

In the meantime, there’s still a great way to support our mission 💚
