As you gear up to celebrate the 4th of July, remember that safety is just as important as fun. Fireworks are a fun tradition, but they can also be dangerous if not handled properly.
Take a few moments to learn how to create a safe environment for your celebration. Always follow local laws, keep a safe distance, and supervise children around fireworks. A concussion can occur after a significant blow to the head or body and may not always be immediately obvious.

Watch for signs such as:
➡️ Confusion or difficulty remembering events
➡️ Slow responses to questions
➡️ Changes in mood or personality
➡️ Dizziness or balance problems
➡️ Headache, nausea, or vomiting
➡️ Looking dazed or stunned

If you suspect a concussion, the person should be evaluated by a healthcare provider or EMS as soon as possible.
