The key to asphalt millings lies in the base beneath it; this is a new construction project undertaken by Corgey Custom Homes LLC. Following site grading, a 6-inch base was laid down, compacted, and then capped with millings to prevent unsightly white tracking on the concrete or inside the house after outdoor activities.

A 40-year-old drainage ditch has undergone reengineering, redirecting stormwater underground to create a flat pasture for constructing a show barn and preventing wet spots accessible to animals; the only remaining task for this project is installing 3x5 bull rock at culvert ends where water enters and exits; a pad will soon be built and road base material, consisting of cement-stabilized, milled, 6-inch compacted material, will be brought in for a 75x90 show barn/shop area. 170 feet of 15-inch corrugated pipe running to an 18-inch 24-foot corrugated pipe where the water runs to a pond to catch water after every rain.

Job we completed a few weeks ago. Huisache cleanup and piled ready to be burned when the time is right.

Removed the existing, improperly installed pipe fence and replaced it with a new fence constructed from 10-foot, 2 7/8s pipe driven 6 feet in the ground, featuring three bars at the top, middle, and bottom, spaced 6 feet apart, to ensure stability. Two kicker deadmen were installed on the embankment's side, with the two deadman posts cut to 14 feet and driven 11 feet down. The completed fence will be highly resistant to displacement.

Here's some fence, cattle guard, and ditch work we completed over Christmas, with more to come, including a 40x60 enclosed building and a 25x40 gable over the road, featuring 16-foot walls and 25x60 lean-tos on both sides for show animals. Stay tuned
