🐄 Stock Trailer Door Frame Fabrication & Repair 🐄

This project was primarily welding and fabrication, with a little bit of paint!

Our customer has USED this trailer, and instead of purchasing a new trailer, he decided to come to us for some much needed repairs to breathe some new life into it. The internal separation door was hanging on by a thread, and the rear door needed a full frame rebuild in order to utilize the sliding door. Fortunately, he came to us!

What we did:
✔️ Started by removing both the internal door and rear door
✔️ Ground-down previous aluminum welds of a prior poor-quality repair
✔️ Cleaned the material and prepped the surface for clean quality aluminum welds
✔️ Reinforced the door frame, and reinstalled it to the trailer
✔️ Removed the rear-door frame, and cut out the pieces we were going to reuse
✔️ Cut and laid out a new door frame, and welded it solid
✔️ Installed the sliding door, and all necessary hardware
✔️ Deburred the entire new structure, keeping animal and human safety in mind
✔️ Gave everything newly fabricated in steel a rust preventative paint coating

⚙️Extended Gooseneck Ball⚙️

Firing up the lathe for some turning on this fine Thursday!

Our customer needed an extended shank length for his off road farm application and was struggling to find something on the market to fit his needs. This is where we come in!

What we did:
✔️ Started with some raw stock of 4140
✔️ Turned down the ball and neck profile to finish size in the lathe
✔️ Machined the final size of the shank to fit his receiver in the mill
✔️ Milled the pin hole detail and necessary chamfers
✔️ Debured to to a smooth finish

•Input shaft turning complete•

Customer with some turning needs on their revised input shafts to be more robust than that of stock. He brought them to us with a chunk of heat treated material welded to the shaft.

Operations consisted of turning down the new section of shaft to customers provided sizes and tolerances.

🏗️ Shop Exterior Remodel Complete at JTE! 🏗️

The building progress continues — this time, outside!

Following our recent interior expansion, we’ve moved on to upgrading the exterior of the shop. Our goal was a shop that showcases the same level of quality we deliver in every project.

What we did:
✔️ Added a retaining wall so vehicles can pull into the new expansion on a level approach
✔️ Had the entire exterior tuck-pointed and the wall straightened and reinforced
✔️ Added A/C
✔️ All new windows
✔️ New service door
✔️ New exterior lighting
✔️ New business sign
✔️ Painted and sealed for a new look

🚧 Shop Expansion in Progress at JTE! 🚧

We’re excited to share that big things are happening here at John Tylor Endeavors (JTE) — we're expanding!

We removed the diving wall and welded up the rebar support structure to prepare for a vehicle lift to be installed. We’ve hired out the concrete pour and once completed, this expansion will nearly double the size of the shop!

What this means:
✔️ More space to handle multiple large-scale custom projects at once
✔️ A dedicated area for vehicle fit-up using a lift — allowing customers to see custom parts installed directly on their vehicles
✔️ Continued investment in our capabilities and commitment to further growth

Next up…exterior improvements to complete the transformation.

Excited to share the finished product from our recent custom hay feeder project — designed and fabricated entirely by JTE.

Built to meet the specific needs of our customer, this feeder combines functionality, safety, and durability for daily use by large and small animals alike. As you can see, it’s already hard at work!

Highlights:
✔️ Clean welds and smooth finishes for animal safety
✔️ Solid steel construction for long-term durability
✔️ Built to hold flakes from large squares and minimize hay waste
✔️ Paint sealed for added weather resistance
