This past storm was definitely one for the books for us. It started out with white out conditions and heavy wet snowfall early morning, we had to do 2 full rounds on our accounts during the day into the afternoon. As we were finishing that we got word of a customer of ours who sent a loader out to Boston to haul snow, having issues with that machine. After some discussion it was decided to take Truck 10 out there since it’s equipped with spare parts and specialty tools, extremely aggressive tires, and 4 wheel drive plus extra lighting. We really weren’t sure of what the weather conditions were plus what it was going to take to get the machine going. After a ride in the snow, we did some diagnostic and discovered a frozen inline fuel filter that was hidden was the issue. Swapped that out for a temporary primer bulb plus a quick jump start and it was back in service. We turned around and headed back, got back right around 1am Tuesday morning. We got some well deserved rest after that and promptly gave the trucks a good wash down, gotta keep them looking good. One of the videos I managed to get overnight of Truck 12 plowing really shows how nasty the conditions got during the height of it. Happy we’re past that but thankful we could help out some loyal customers! Huge thanks to my worker for his dedication and effort during this storm as well.
