Never experienced this! Working on a car for a customer that was involved in a flood. The customer took great care to get the car dried out and dry ice blasted on the underside to prevent additional corrosion. While disassembling the car we wanted to pull the engine and transmission out to inspect and recheck everything. I normally pull the transmission first then the engine. in 40 years I have neve pulled them as an assembly except in junk cars. The transmission would not come loose from the engine. It seems as the 4th gear splines are rusted to the clutch disc. Even with great force and lots of Pblaster nothing but a little movement. Which im sure is the clutch disc center breaking. So we removed the head to keep from damaging it and the firewall. Pulled the engine and trans together with the hopes of separating them outside of the car! Still no way! Besides breaking the bell housing (we have plenty) I am going to attempt removing the pressure plate bolts through the clutch arm hole. Thats this weekends project.

Abarth 595 Clone in the shop! Car has been worked on by numerous shops trying to get it running. After investigation we have determined the "pasta" wiring harness has been so mutilated that it needs to be replaced. There are so many splices and bare wires and wires just left off. The great thing is replacement harnesses are available. It is quite the undertaking to rewire a car. but best plan of action in this place.

Just took on a awesome project for a customer. Unfortunately the car was involved in a flood. The customer did the absolute best thing possible and dried it out immediately. dry ice blasted the underside and stopped as much of any corrosion that was possible. This will be a fantastic venture getting this pristine 78 spider back on its feet again.
