Our building is over 100 years old but we shined up the inside this year. We have a wonderful kitchen shop, gun store, hunting store, hardware store, and workwear store under one roof.

Goldthwaite’s famous MILLS COUNTY GENERAL STORE and ACE HARDWARE will temporarily close at 1pm Saturday March 15th. Services like UPS drop off & TPWD Licenses will also be temporarily suspended during this time. Store renovations will begin soon and we’ll keep you posted on our progress. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

According to the new owners, they plan on keeping the same business name and all that goes with it. This means gun and ammo sales along with Ace Hardware and the large spectrum of ‘General Store” merchandise will once again be loading the shelves. UPS services and TPWD licenses will continue as well, along with the legendary hunting contests.

All Ace Reward customer accumulated points will be available when the store reopens.

We want to thank our valued customers who have supported us over the last 6 ½ years. We believe Robert & Mark will make the “Refreshed” Mills County General Store & Ace Hardware much grander than ever.
