This right here.
This was the most difficult machine I have ever revived.
This is a 1972 Brutanza Brut LC44 a very rare machine that has been in Brian Hoffâs family for a very long time.
A year ago he contacted me to see if I would be up for the task of bringing his grandfathers machine back to life for him and his dad to see together and running again after being in pieces for 30 years.
I can promise you I had no clue what the hell i was getting myself into.
This engine was trashed, the machine was completely apart and starting with the engine I rebuilt it all one piece at a time.
This has been a true test of every ounce of Knowledge and skill I have. Lack of parts availability, lack of repair information. Figuring out how to assemble it with no instruction.
Coming up with modern components to make 50 year old stuff work. This thing fought me the entire way from start to finish. As soon as I thought I made progress I took 2 steps back damn near every step of the way.
Iâd be lying if I said I didnât have a few tears in my eye seeing this thing(minus the hood) all together when it was a pile of parts.
Iâm so grateful to have been apart this project because of what it meant to Brianâs family.
This is the biggest feeling of accomplishment I have ever felt since I began this journey building my my reputation.
Iâve done a lot of stuff, rebuilt a lot of machines, but nothing can compare to this.
So many hours invested,
But damn am I proud of it.
