State Fair Cream Puffs

What You'll Need:
• 1 cup water
• 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, softened
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• 4 eggs, at room temperature
• 1 egg yolk
• 2 tablespoons milk
• 2 cups (1 pint) heavy cream
• 1/3 cup confectioners' sugar, plus extra for sprinkling
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

What To Do:

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, bring water, butter, and salt to a boil. Add flour all at once and stir quickly until mixture forms a ball; remove from heat.

2. Add 1 egg and beat hard with a wooden spoon to blend. Add remaining whole eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition; each egg must be completely blended in before the next egg is added. As you beat mixture, it will change from an almost-curdled to a smooth appearance. When it is smooth, spoon 12 mounds of dough onto a large rimmed baking sheet.

3. In a small bowl, combine egg yolk and milk; mix well and brush over dough.

4. Bake 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden. Remove to a wire rack to cool completely.

5. In a large bowl, beat cream with an electric be**er on medium speed until soft peaks form. Add 1/3 cup confectioners' sugar and vanilla and beat until stiff peaks form.

6. Cut top third off each cooled pastry puff and fill with equal amounts of whipped cream mixture. Replace tops and sprinkle with confectioners' sugar. Serve immediately, or cover and chill until ready to serve.

Note

For a sure way to get perfect whipped cream, chill the bowl and be**ers before whipping the cream, and make sure not to over beat it.

The only bread recipe I have been successful with. Quick, easy, and tastes great!!
Makes two loaves.
Ingredients:
2 cups warm water
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons yeast
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 cup vegetable oil
5 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions:
1. Dissolve the sugar in the warm water, then add the yeast and allow it to proof.
2. Mix the oil into the yeast mixture once it has proofed.
3. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour and salt.
4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients one cup at a time, stirring until a soft dough forms.
5. Knead the dough for 3-5 minutes.
6. Place the dough in an oiled bowl and turn it over to coat both sides. Allow it to rise for one hour.
7. Punch down the dough and shape it into two loaves. Place them into greased bread pans and allow them to rise for an additional 30-40 minutes.
8. Bake the loaves at 350°F for approximately 30 minutes.
9. Once the loaves are done, brush the tops with butter while they are still warm. Enjoy!

The soap is AMAZING and made locally! Not only does it look amazing but it really feels great. The soap lathers up really well and your skin feels soft after you use it. So many soaps dry your skin but this does not. I thought it was just for decoration but it really works well also!

In a time of so many people working together we are looking for artistic designs to represent the many messages out there now. We want messages spread to show support for Unity and Strength Together.
The rules for the design is a simple single color design that give us your message. We are turning the top designs into shirts available to the public. The causes being supported are a local business, group or organization designated by the shirt designer. We don't know the number of designs to be chosen until we see the designs submitted.
Last day to submit your design is June 20th 2020.
