AMNG is very proud to announce the recipients of the 2026-2027 Summer/Fall Educational Scholarships!

Congratulations to

Ms. Brooke Altmeyer
and
Mr. Eric Marchand

Their applications have been selected and approved by the Executive Board to receive a monetary award to directly support their college education goals.

The Association was able to increase the amounts of this year’s scholarships to $550 each to each recipient. This was due directly to the outstanding participation and generous support of the 2026 WPW & AFSAM competitors. Thank you so much.

The Executive Board would also like to welcome two more new AMNG Life Members to the Association that have joined this week.

With these two contributions as Life Members, combined with all the other new Life Members that have joined this year, we are now able to 100% fund each of our 2026-2027 Fall/Spring Term Scholarship Grants! This is outstanding and allows the Association to focus our revenues for this year on other priority projects.

The Executive Board is extremely proud to welcome the newest AMNG Life Members to the association.

During this weeks successful Winston P. Wilson National Championships, these three National Guard competitors signed up for Life Memberships.

They join the membership roles along with Bryan Harder (IN) and Stephen Jeffrey (MT) who became Life Members earlier in 2026

There are now two ways to apply. As a qualified Life Member, you or your dependents may either download a hardcopy to fill out or you can apply all online. Go to guardmarksmanship.org or the direct link is in the comments below.

Got Recce?

Check out the winners of the Recce Division from the PGG Match at Twisted Barrel last weekend.

1st Place Recce: David E.
2nd Place Recce: Jordan B.
3rd Place Recce: Nick M.

With nothing more than a 16" 5.56 and a 10x scope, these guys tackled some serious long range stages.

Out of 39 Steel targets across 10 full stages and a full 94 shot course of fire, almost HALF of the entire course was past 400yds and 3 MOA or less.

That's some serious skill with a carbine. 💪

Shout out to the Guardsmen who competed in the Twisted Barrel PGG Season Opener this past weekend!

The first step in the long journey to improving yourself is to just show up!

Some showed up prepared to teach, some showed up to learn, everyone showed up and improved.

Just a bunch of Citizen Soldiers taking their service seriously. 💪
