We regret to share that the dinghy race will not happen this year. Some construction at the school and conflicts with volunteers has made this years edition not feasible. Coach your young sailors to follow The Ocean Race this year, and fingers crossed we get back to this next season. Sailors for the Sea

After months of consideration, and waiting as long as possible, we are making the very difficult call to cancel this years race.

The Dinghy Race is about so much more then just what happens on the water and without the opportunity to live with and learn from each other... we just don't see a way to make this years event even close to as special as it should be.

Kids keep sailing and navigating through these crazy times. We cannot wait to sail away to someplace special with you all again soon.

After close to 30 miles of racing... this is the moment of the final leg 7 where Glasson & Hanson found the faster low lane to secure the Dinghy Race win.

Earlier in the leg the battle for first overall began with a downwind start! Chris and Dylan Devine were doing all they could to luff out the leaders and put the three needed points between them.

Congrats to both of these teams, as the fleet was genuinely rooting for either one of them to win. Earning the respect and admiration of their competitors is more valuable then any trophy in the world!

Another successful beach cleanup in the books! Check out some of the photos from our stroll down the beach on Fishers Island earlier this morning.

Many thanks to Charlie Enright and Jen Guimaraes for dropping some knowledge this morning on micro plastics and sustainability! As a 2x Volvo Ocean Race skipper, world class sailor, and recent winner of the Royal Ocean Racing Club Rolex Fastnet Race, Charlie has one of the best global pictures of our ocean health. Better yet, he also has passion, experience, and advice for how to reduce waste in every day life. Jen shared some details on where ocean health currently stands across the world and on how “micro plastics” effect our environment.

Join the "Watch Party" pinned to the top of our page to hear expert commentary from Coach Ken Legler!
