ABOUT MYSELF... My name is Amanda, I graduated the New York Institute Of Photography many years ago with a degree in all aspects of photography including but not limited to Portraits, Weddings, Events, Photojournalism, and Fine Art Photography . I love every minute of what I do, I started taking photos at about age 7 when my grandpa bought me my first camera, my grandpa was and still is my inspira

tion for my photography, he died of cancer when I was 10 and that is when I really started getting serious about photography. When I was in the 9th grade I started thinking about what I wanted to do after High School and I finally decided that I wanted to dedicate my time to learning every aspect of photography. I graduated from Enterprise High School in 2008 and soon after decided to enroll in a photography school. I found NYIP and decided that was the school I wanted to go to, it seemed to be the best school out there for me. I could learn at my own pace, take my own photos and work on it when I had the time. ABOUT CAPTURE THE ESSENCE PHOTOGRAPHY... I don't have any fancy editing equipment, so the photos I take are the exact same as I saw it! I do not believe in editing my work to something different than what I saw, I want you to see the photos as I (the artist) saw them. I decided to name my photography business Capture The Essence Photography because to me taking a photograph isn't just about taking the photograph. Its about capturing the essence of the subject that I am photographing. The word essence means spirit, or the setting of something and that is what I do when I take a photo of you, your wedding or even your event. I will do my best to make people feel as if they were there with us every time they look at your photos, even if they were across the country. Editing the photos from Noah and Billies wedding, they are getting there and should be up (or sent/ready to pick up) and able to look at by the end of the week :)
