🚨 25 POUNDS OF FUEL CONTAMINATION, REMOVED IN 1 MONTH?! 🚨

We recently installed our TwinCore fuel polishing system on a freshly cleaned diesel tank. No sludge, no standing water—just clean, ready-to-go storage. Or so we thought...

After just one month, our filters pulled 25 POUNDS of solid contamination from the fuel being delivered into that tank.

📊 What we saw:
• Weight of new filter: 7.3 lbs
• Used filter weights: 17.35 lbs and 22.39 lbs
• Difference = ~25 lbs of solid contamination

👉 That means the contamination didn’t come from the tank—it came from the fuel supply chain itself.

💡 Why does this matter?
If you're running a fleet or relying on standby generators:
✔️ Every pound of solids you filter out protects your injectors and DPF
✔️ Cleaner fuel = fewer regens and better MPG
✔️ No gelling or plugging when it gets cold
✔️ You avoid the cost of breakdowns, lost productivity, and expensive repairs!

🛠️ We’re not just filtering your tank once and calling it good—

💥 We’re polishing, testing, treating, and protecting — all day every day! 💥

🔗 If you're still trusting untreated “clean” fuel to run your equipment, you might be surprised to learn that there is a whole lot more you can do to extend equipment life, and get more efficiency out of your equipment.

Some great insight from Performance Fuel Specialists!

What steps are you taking to protect your engine and fuel system?

What you're seeing in this image isn’t just a refinery—it’s a glimpse into the lesser-known journey your fuel takes before reaching the pump.

In the U.S., most fuel is manufactured to meet minimum quality standards. Unlike in Europe, where stricter regulations lead to more refined and consistent blends, U.S. fuel often comes from a network of shared pipelines and refineries. Refineries trade fuel like commodities, blending and swapping based on availability—not always based on quality.

That means the gas you pump into your car may not be the “premium” product your local station advertises. It may have traveled through multiple hands, pipelines, and facilities—each only required to meet the baseline for combustion, not necessarily for cleanliness or engine performance.

Because of this system, trace contaminants, carbon buildup, and reduced combustion efficiency can be more common in U.S. engines. Understanding this background sheds light on why many drivers and mechanics turn to regular fuel system maintenance—including additives—to counteract the wear and residue caused by lower-quality base fuel.

The takeaway? Even if you’re filling up at a recognizable station, what's in your tank may not be exactly what you think—and your engine may pay the price over time.

Check out how reducing maintenance costs can seriously boost your business's bottom line!

Here’s the breakdown:

Baseline: You're making $100 in sales. Maintenance costs are $20. Other expenses: $75. Profit? $5.

Approach A: Smart maintenance moves. Cut maintenance costs by 10% (from $20 to $18) through proactive strategies and the right products. Keep those other expenses the same. Now your profit jumps to $7!

The alternative? Increase sales by 40% to get that same $7 profit. Sounds good, but all your costs go up too, keeping your profit margin at only 5%.

Key Takeaway: A 10% reduction in maintenance costs can equal a 40% increase in sales when it comes to your bottom line, but requires less spending. It's often easier to save on maintenance than to drastically increase sales!

Got some great feedback from a happy customer today. During an inspection of their tank they were happy to find that we have eliminated almost all of the corrosion that was existing when we started working on it.

This fuel is clean and dry, they don't have to worry about fuel system issues or gelling this winter!

What does the inside of your tanks look like?
