Happy Week 4!
This week, we’re highlighting projects that strengthen community. At its core, landscape architecture is defined by how it connects people to place: through improving health, building resilience, expanding access, and creating spaces where community can thrive.
We’re starting with Athletic Club Boise. Through adaptive reuse of an existing site, this project has transformed the former Les Bois Park into a vibrant destination. The level of community support and excitement behind it reflects its role as not just a sports venue, but a space for connection and community pride.
We’re also highlighting the Idaho Outdoor Fieldhouse. This project creates impact on multiple fronts: enhancing training opportunities for athletes, supporting veterans through spaces designed for healing, and providing a central hub for community activity. A highlight of the project was its goals to incorporate sustainable strategies that promote long-term environmental responsibility.
Together, these projects show how thoughtful design can shape healthier, more connected communities.
