βοΈ While cellulose settles in attics, it does NOT settle when installed into wall cavities!

How is this possible? Well, when installed into a wall cavity using either the WALLSEAL (wall spray) or dense-pack methods, the installed density of Nu-Wool Premium Cellulose Insulation is so high that it exceeds the settled density. In other words, the density of the cellulose in the wall cavity is high enough that it prevents settling altogether. And this remains true for the lifetime of the structure, assuming proper installation.
π‘ As for attics, while cellulose does settle naturally over time, this settling is accounted for via testing, according to ASTM C-739βwhich are a collection of tests necessary for cellulose insulation products. When installed in attics, our coverage charts account for that settling as determined by the test. We ensure enough cellulose is installed to still have the desired thermal performance long-term.
