American honey production is around a $400million industry. While American pollination industry is around $12billion annually. The large scale pollination of crops by commercially migrated hives which are trucked around on pallets is responsible for something like $50billion in annual crops.

They say 1 in 3 bites of food needed to have commercial pollination to be produced.

Bees are used to pollinate even cotton for clothing and seed production for various livestock feed crops such as Alfalfa.

Our bee farmer Greg with Honey Bee Friendly has around 300 colonies of bees. What does that equate? Thousands upon thousands of bees! His are quite spoiled with all the traveling they get to do. Heading south in the winter towards warm weather.

Sadly bees are on a decline. We must protect them to the best of our ability. Did you know that the Sichuan Province in China has seen such a decline they have started practicing hand pollination? Sad, scary and tiring!

Bees are the most important species on this planet. No farms no food is correct but without bees what would this world be?
