Q: Oh, hey. I have custom Ghostbusters related merch & wares of my own I'd like to promote; can I just post it here? Without proper coverage to at least explain what your intentions are, your post is subject to deletion by any member with admin rights. We are not some kind of Lo-Fi Ghetto BBS Flea Market. If anything is to be promoted or advertised through this page, it is for members with a direct affiliation with the Pacific Northwest Ghostbusters or relevant to the interests of the team. Q: When were you guys established? A: The Pacific Northwest Ghostbusters franchise was (est. 11/11/11) and some of our members are from other franchises, have been part of the GB scene for a couple years on their own, and/or have direct familial connections with other Ghostbuster Franchises. Q: Can I Rent/Borrow your equipment ... for reasons? A: NO ... All equipment is owned, maintained, and handled by the members and usually took countless hours of time and resources to make real ~don't ask. All DMs, emails and other forms of communications to this page regarding rentals or "borrowing" of said equipment will be straight up ignored. Q: How do I get a PNW:GB Sasquatch badge/patch? A: You have to be a member. The patches are for Members and Franchise Exchanges to other members of other franchises. .. or just buy one .. from Lex San (when available) Probably shouldn't ask for one unless you have done something to meet the base requirements for membership. Q: How do I become a member? A: You have to be invited to be a member or request consideration by a member and meet 3 particular requirements before membership can be granted. Q: What are these three (3) requirements? A: So glad you asked. This is a three-part answer, and any further questions can be directed to the Pacific Northwest Ghostbusters page in a Private Message. Step One: Acquire a uniform. A uniform consists of a Jumpsuit or Collard Work Shirt (ex. Dickies, Carnhart, Red Cap; etc.) with a GB1/GB2 uniform patch for the right shoulder and an approved GB-style Name Tap or Tag above the left breast pocket. Work boots, utility belt with at least one accessory such as a key fob, circuit pouch, Lifegard and at least one piece of equipment such as: PKE Meter (with holster), Ghost Trap, Ecto-Goggles, Proton Pack or a Slime Blower. Visual guide is available upon request if you're not clear on what qualifies as a uniform. Step Two: You have to attend at least TWO events (within a year) or 32 hours active-duty hours OJT (On the Job Training) upon an invitation by an active member of the group. This is all on your own time and any associated event fees will have to be paid out of pocket unless otherwise noted. There’s actually a reason for this. The time spent "Training" with members is part of your evaluation towards consideration for membership. The events themselves will be announced on the page so any announcement made “on behalf” of the Pacific Northwest Ghostbusters outside of the page do NOT count (you may also want to report it directly to the PNW:GB page right away if that is the case). Step Three: After the indoctrination comes the initiation. Simply put, you will be asked to be a member. TL:/DR "You don't ask us, we ask you"
After an evaluation, a team vote by a minimum of Two PNW:GB Members (one of which must be a Senior Member), you may be asked to join.
*Any questions regarding the making of patches, shirts and other franchise related paraphernalia - you will most likely be directed to contact Lex San or look via https://www.teepublic.com/user/btnkdrms and https://www.redbubble.com/people/btnkdrms.
