Last week, Dalton Hardware owners Jonathan and Michael Downs had the privilege of exploring the updates to the Wayne County Justice Center with Sheriff Tom Ballinger and other deputies. The tour also included a demonstration of the Sheriff’s Office’s updated drone capabilities, made possible by several local businesses across Wayne County.

Dalton Hardware proudly supported the purchase of the new drone equipment by donating to the project. We’re proud to support our local first responders and their mission to protect and serve our community. This updated technology will enhance law enforcement capabilities and assist with protecting our community for years to come.

The men and women who put their safety on the line every day deserve our support. Co-owner Jonathan Downs knows firsthand the difficulties first responders face. A 20-year veteran of the fire service, Jonathan understands the challenges and dangers law enforcement encounters.

The drone project will equip deputies serving across our great county. It was an amazing day to see firsthand how we can make an impact with our local law enforcement agencies. We’ll continue to promote and support projects like this for years to come.

Dalton Hardware was honored to support Millie Young, daughter of Celesta and Kris Young, at the Wayne County Fair livestock auction. Millie raised her pig, Lloyd, and we were proud to place the winning bid!

Fun fact: Jonathan and Jennifer Downs’ son, Gavin, now 17, used to insist (at age 6) that we change his name to Lloyd. Since we refused, we had to at least call him Lloyd! Needless to say, the name brought back some great memories.

We’re gearing up for Dalton’s Meet the Team event tomorrow, August 10th! Join us as Jonathan Downs, owner of Dalton Hardware and Dalton Electric Company along with, Al Schroer, owner of AFTER HOURS BBQ, fire up the grill with some delicious chicken! 🍗🔥

You’ll find them hard at work all day long! They’ll be cooking adjacent to the stadium right in Principal McFarren’s backyard. Stop by and check us out. We will have it ready at the football field concession stands to serve everyone!
