Clear communication and proper training can make a difference throughout the manufacturing process.

Maggie Diaz has seen that firsthand during her seven years at AMI. Working in Production Control at our Cedar Rapids facility, she helps locate units and parts across production lines and supports coworkers in resolving problems.

For Maggie, doing things correctly the first time helps contribute to better products for customers.

Manufacturing is always moving, and there’s always something new to learn.

That’s one of the things Joshua Squire enjoys most about his role as Shipping Coordinator at our West Salem facility.

“The best part of my job is coming to work and learning something new every single day.”

For the past four and a half years, Joshua has helped coordinate window shipments, prepare load paperwork, support requests from our window plants, and work directly with drivers arriving at the facility.

His advice for someone considering a career in manufacturing? Expect a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, and expect to keep learning.

Earlier this month, our AMI team celebrated Customer Service Week with a week of fun activities, themed days, and team celebrations to recognize the people who go above and beyond for our customers every day.

From answering questions and finding solutions to keeping things moving behind the scenes, our Customer Service team plays an important role in creating positive experiences for our customers and supporting teams across the organization.

That’s what Brandon Brodwolf, Production Supervisor for B Crew at our West Salem facility, brings to the job.

For Ray Ghigliotty, Plant Manager at AMI’s Woodbridge, New Jersey, facility, supporting a manufacturing team means helping remove roadblocks, keeping communication moving, and creating opportunities for people to succeed.

One lesson has shaped how he approaches that responsibility: “Be mindful of the weight of your words.”

It’s a reminder that has encouraged Ray to listen more, lead with empathy, and think carefully about how his words affect the people around him.

As Production Manager at our Cedar Rapids facility, Gustavo works with teams across window production and sees firsthand what can happen when people communicate, support one another, and work through challenges together.
