I'm not just a spokes person for helping hands handyman....... I'm also a client!
My eldest son.... Seen in the pics has lovingly acquired my drive he's been to school all day, came home went straight to 1.5 hrs of basketball practice, came home rode his bike, and decided he needed to dig the dirt under the house while I hung insulation! He's the future folks.... When I'm done with all the helping.... This little man right here will be the face you see, and he'll be much better than his old man!

Soooo,
Ive been working on converting this pergola into a dry roof top.
I took the rafters all down and cleared all the pieces and reused what was there to make rafters in preparation of roof metal so these lovely folks can sit and enjoy the world in the rain out there. The parts between the original rafters were causing the tops of the frame to rot, so taking them off there will only extend the life of the thing.
The center rafter I left and used it as the ridge, it's quite shallow, but has plenty of fall. Nothing is square on the frame, so I could make one rafter and use for template I had to create one from measurement each time! Worked out nicely. My skills have improved a lot over the years, I mean look at those bird mouths!!! Close to perfect as I'd wanna be!
P.s. I did the rails a few weeks ago, and re covered all the decking here.

Rehabbed this part of deck for a lady in one of my communities. It was completely rotten on the bands and the ends of every board. Went back together well. All solo!

Got this lawnmower area worked up today. 7 hour total. That's with running to home depot in blairsville loading and trip back. Had 6 hours in the build. Not too bad for a solo op!

Got a big pile put on in just 2 days solo. Had to bounce around different rooms to clear piles from the wall. Probably totaled about 35 sheets mostly in the ceiling. Not too bad for one guy. Nice that this job is literally 1 minute from my house in Warne. Love the trip over and back. Didn't even buy gas this week!
