Get it in wherever you are 💪🏻! Push ups are a great exercise that you can do any place and any time without any equipment. Had to stop to get some in on a hike through the ape caves, a hollowed out lava tube created during the eruption of My St Helens.
Remember that you want your elbows coming back at a 45 degree angle as opposed to flared outwards at 90 degrees. This will emphasize the contraction in your triceps, chest, and back. Keep your hands slightly farther than shoulder width apart and your feet parallel at hip width. Go all the way down to where your nose almost touches to ground and push straight up through your arms squeezing all the muscles at the top range of motion. It is perfectly fine to begin with modified push ups where your knees are on the ground if you are just beginning. For the more advanced you can try to do a diamond push up with your hands forming a diamond shape on the ground as opposed to shoulder width apart. These blast the triceps and forearms but sacrifice some work for the chest.
