We’re seeking a skilled Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction and mining equipment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and reliable, high-quality repairs in a fast-paced shop environment. The Mechanic will handle repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting on diesel-powered equipment to keep our inventory operational and customer-ready.

Responsibilities:
• Diagnose/troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel engine issues on excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, and other construction/mining machinery
• Perform preventive maintenance: oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, lubrication, and inspections
• Repair/replace engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, steering systems, and electrical parts
• Disassemble/reassemble equipment using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop machinery
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance, safety, and standards compliance
• Operate heavy equipment for testing and diagnostics as needed
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and service history
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely and efficiently
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe workspace while following all safety protocols
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, diesel mechanic, or similar role
• Reliable and punctual
• Familiar with diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostic tools
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship and safety
