This was an interesting one - a Deere 225D with rail gear. Operator reports that the two main fuses for the rail gear keep blowing.
Long story short - the rotary joint had been hit and moved the brushes on 3 of the 4 stacks, grounding out the rail gear to the rotary joint. There were also crossed connections, powering multiple solenoids at once.
The brushes were reset and the rail gear returned to normal function.
Always something new! But its just basic electrical theory at the end of the day.

This customer was in a real bind. They had everything going against them.
❌️ Trailer axles bent
❌️ Memorial Day weekend
❌️ Tight deadline - needs to move Monday
❌️ Remote location on the Alabama/Georgia border.

Iron Doctors was able to get it done and get them back on the road to meet their deadline.
This trailer used a hard to find axle - 76" spring center and a 4.5" drop spindle. Getting that specific axle normally would be difficult, and on a holiday weekend - impossible.
Thanks to Outback Trailers in Steele, they were instrumental in getting this customer going. They had two 6,000 lb Dexter axles in stock, although with no drop spindle, and 80" spring centers (which is standard). They also stocked new spring perches.
I was able to get the axles and perches Sunday morning and get out to the customer to pull the bent axles, cut the old spring perches and weld new ones on at 76" width.
The trailer was able to move by Monday morning for its important deadline, and they even gained 4.5" of ground clearance, which they were very happy about.
