We're looking for a welder to join our team. The successful candidate will have prior experience in welding, be able to troubleshoot problems effectively and work well independently. Must have a valid Driver’s License.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide and maintain their own hand tools necessary for installation
Read and comprehend production work orders and standard operating procedures
Set up equipment and ensure production materials are available
Weld small and large components, such as brackets and spindles to raw tube
Use specialized machinery for production welding
Assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors
When quality standard of product is not met, stop the process and make minor repairs or refer major problems to production leadership and/or maintenance
Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers to achieve productivity and location goals
Adhere to all safety procedures, wear proper PPE for job duties and report potentially unsafe conditions
Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned area
Able to stand, bend, full range of motion and must have ability to continuously lift up to 50lbs, and occasionally lift up to 100lbs.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Knowledge of weld techniques, hand tools and manufacturing equipment Proficient with a variety of manual tools, power tools and tape measure
Construction experience (fencing, framing, roofing, carpentry)
Other Physical Requirements:
Must wear steel-toed boots, protective eye-wear, weld gear, fire resistant apparel, and hearing protection.
Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to heat/cold conditions and levels of noise, and potential exposure to various industrial liquids, oils, gases, etc.
Meeting physical requirements, such as lifting, bending and standing for long periods of time during entire shift and able to lift up to 50 pounds+ with or without reasonable accommodation, is required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/ KEY MEASURABLES:
Accept or reject parts and products based on welding standards and testing.
Record parts that have been welded, gaged, and tested on data sheets.
Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job.
Plans details of working procedure and tools and material requirements.
Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded.
Sets up, assembles, and tacks weld parts.
Builds up worn or defective surfaces.
Uses burning equipment to dismantle assemblies and to cut material to size and shape.
Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.
Other projects and responsibilities may be added based on operational needs.
EXPERIENCE:
Ability to read blueprints, welding specifications, and symbols.
Working knowledge of small power tools
Ability to operate and read weld gages.
