Newcomer Racing Inc will NOT be selling, building, CNC or hand porting Edelbrock 4.0 aluminum heads moving forward as of 04/28/26.
We will be using at this point iron only heads, either factory or aftermarket. We have lost way to much time, money and patience to continue down this path.
No one is making up cracking issues over here. Most come out of the box with cracks around the guide bosses if people actually checked. Eventually they crack across the deck at different points and spew water. If yours has been great and no issues then good for you, we can't hope that the next one will make it the distance. What exactly is the distance? 10,000 miles, 100,000 miles, one year, 10 years, 10 races, just roll the dice.
We are beyond tired of trying to explain to customers about someone else's quality issues since day one and we have nothing to gain at this point. We have invested in a CNC program, tons of R&D and dyno testing, which would not make any sense if we didn't have plans to move forward with this product.
There will be a few upcoming builds that utilize these heads, then that will be a wrap.
