The “shop car” aka WAGOO_the_SQ_Magnum has been quietly moving along/ getting ready for a full blown rebuild.

After opting out of world finals for various reasons, I came to the conclusion it was time to strip it down and rebuild it with new and collecting parts I’ve had.

First, huge shoutout to KENWOOD USA for this insane Excelon Reference screen. A lot cooler than my DDX9905 DDIN I had before.

Next, CB Supply has a great 8 channel split power and ground distribution block that is going to be perfect for the tight space that I need to build within.

Lastly, I’ve had a Sparked Innovations conductor sitting around for a while that’s going to go perfectly in this build. Time to throw it all together before Aggieland in March.

Now it’s time to get my amp covers sandblasted from BossHawg and get them to Josh at Puds for Cerakote!!

Late night trophy build with Tim Goudy! Ready for Sparks in the Ozarks 20! Wish I could attend!

Shawn Meissner trusted me with another build, this time a lil more over the top! With a good bit of help from Tim Goudy and Joseph Norton from Musway, it sounds just as incredible as it looks. Special thanks to my friends Archie Speaks and Paul Morgan for guidance when I was in a pinch.

The build: two Focal 12”s in 1.8 cu ft sealed in a partially stack fabricated enclosure in the spare tire well. Two sets of Focal Flax 2 way components ran active. Musway USA M12 DSP amp, Musway One.600, the BRAND new MyCon controller in a custom mount. Signal fed by a NavTV unit in the original OEM Fender amplifier mount.

Big lesson learned was on the 6 channels of addressable LEDs, which I think came out great (eventually)!

Time to shut up, here are the pics!

This has been one heckuva ride for me! My buddy Michael Santella trusted me with a full interior build on his 4runner before mini nats. We got it done and it’s headed out today for a debut and magazine shoot.

Still a few corrections to make but overall this was one rad build I’ll never forget.

It’s ALMOST a wrap! Just some tuning and a new piece of acrylic to make. Boss Hawg Bentonville’s super sick 2023 Ford Bronco came out incredible. DS18 amps, LEDs, and speaker setup since they’re a dealer for the entire DS18 lineup. Tim Goudy with Area 51 fabrication came through bigtime on the welded amp rack and lasered acrylic. Rack was powdercoated the same color as the suspension parts and bolted into the factory tie down holes into the frame. You could winch this bad boy out with the amp rack (but please don’t!). When Jimmy and I talked, the common thread was whether it was going to sound good, so I added a Musway TUNE12 processor to the mix to ensure we could get proper staging in front for daily driving, but fade to rear for those super loud demos at shows and events. Thank you Boss Hawg for trusting me with the build! Hope we can work together again soon!

I leave 2023 with a ton of gratitude to my friends who let me experiment on their rides (Bruner, James Norman, Larry, Justin, and many more), but equally my mentors who steered me in the right direction in moments of doubt (Joseph, Tim Goudy, Archie Speaks, Paul Morgan, Jim Rogers, and Fred Lockett). Thank you everyone for the trust and encouragement. I leave you with my favorite pics of 2023
