308L HiSil is a stainless steel solid wire with 308L chemistry that has been modified to offer a higher silicon level for

Careful attention to the manganese and silicon contents assure maximum deoxidation, flat bead profiles and low-spatter welds. This is in an 0.045 diameter in 500 # drums and meets AWS A5.18: ER70S-3. A mild steel, gas-shielded flux-cored wire designed to provide high deposition rates and flat bead appearance. This is 0.052 diameter in 50 # spools and meets AWS E71T-1C-H8 and E71T-9C-H8.
