Sanitary stainless work completed for a local goat dairy farm 🐐🥛

We added two 316L stainless-steel sanitary ferrules to this pasteurizer, giving the customer the connections needed to properly pasteurize their milk for safe consumption.

After welding, the finished areas were polished to sanitary standards to provide a smooth, cleanable surface suitable for dairy processing.

🔥 Getting Ready for Heating Season in Ellsworth!

We made a quick trip down to Ellsworth to replace a heating-system header and help get this facility ready before the colder weather arrives.

We’ve been busy, and last week Michaud’s Piping & Fabrication completed a heating hot-water piping project at MDI Hospital.

Our scope included the fabrication and installation of new 3-inch carbon-steel supply and return piping for the hospital’s new addition. During a carefully coordinated shutdown, we cut into the existing 6-inch boiler lines and installed 6-inch-by-3-inch reducing tees to supply the new system.

Working within an active hospital required careful planning, precise fabrication, and strict attention to safety. Every component was measured, fabricated, welded, and installed by our team while minimizing disruption to hospital operations.

We’re proud to have completed another critical piping installation safely, accurately, and professionally.

Another custom fabrication project in the books! This weekend, Michaud’s Piping & Fabrication LLC built this custom aluminum fuel tank for a 1987 Bayliner.

From layout and fit-up to welding and finishing, this tank was built from the ground up to provide a durable, corrosion-resistant replacement that’s made to fit the boat—not a one-size-fits-all solution.

Phase 2 of the hot water piping upgrade at Curtis Hall, Maine Maritime Academy in Castine, Maine is Complete! ✅

This phase consists of the fabrication and installation of new 4” carbon steel hot water supply and return piping, upgrading the supply to the dormitory. Every weld and installation is completed with a focus on quality, precision, and long-term reliability.⚙️

Repair over replacement.⛽️

This aluminum transfer tank came in with a crack along a previous weld that had begun leaking. Before any welding work began, all diesel fuel was safely removed from the tank following proper safety procedures and applicable regulations to ensure the repair could be completed safely.

Once prepared, the cracked area was re- welded to restore the tank’s structural integrity. After the repair was completed, the tank was thoroughly leak-tested to verify the quality of the weld and ensure it was ready to return to service.
