The first product this company is bringing to market is a low-cost stubby prosthetic foot called Stump Armour. The device is designed specifically for double above knee amputees to maximize their mobility close to the ground. The foot minimizes effort to stand up from any position, to move short distances, reach items on the ground, lift heavy objects, or simply work out. It also allows the ampute
e to naturally place the femurs in the best possible position for their lower back, due to the rounded design. Access to prosthetic equipment should be a right and not a privilege. Green's Machines LLC will strive to keep costs low so individuals with little or no insurance coverage will be able to afford to purchase Stump Armour. There are over 2 million amputees in the US and that number grows by 185,000 every year. US insurance providers spend 12 billion annually in this market. Worldwide over 1 million amputations are performed yearly. A bit less than 10% of the US amputee population will be able to use this affordable foot. We also are beginning to explore international and potential humanitarian applications. This direction may include several variations and accessories that still need to be developed.
