Cocktail Class racing is coming to Cambridge.

This year, the Richardson Maritime Museum is bringing the spirit of SKUA racing back to life — not just as history, but as something you can see, follow, and feel right here on the water.

We’re launching a hands-on youth build program where two SKUA race boats will be constructed side-by-side in a true build-off format:

🔹 One built by the team at Accurate Marine Group
🔹 One built by the Richardson Maritime Museum youth program

Same class. Same rules. Same finish line.

Participants will learn real boatbuilding skills from the ground up — from raw materials to a finished race-ready hull — all leading to a head-to-head SKUA race right here in Cambridge, Maryland.

This is grassroots racing the way it was meant to be: simple, fast, competitive, and built by your own hands.

Follow along as both builds take shape, and stay tuned for race day.
