Every day it's something new! Great install today on the west side of COS. This customer wanted to match an existing backyard gate she has, with a new decorative piece and gate at her front door. We were able to match the style, and attached it to a short concrete wall rather than the sidewalk. The new gate provides easy access to the garden hose from the front door, with the aesthetic she was looking for. A little bit cold but a great morning!

The best start to a week is a smooth successful install! We were happy today to work on a Krafted Homes, Inc. deck in Manitou wtih a couple unique features; first the homeowner wanted an extra wide top rail so when hosting guests, they have a convenient place to set drinks down. Second, and you can't see it from these pictures, but a rain collection system was installed underneath the deck to keep the lower patio dry. This meant we had to specially design the base plates, as our standard 4" x 4" plates would have resulted in bolts going through the scuppers.

Also not pictured are the many deer we saw while in the neighborhood. What a fun morning!

When you live in Calhan, and you have a test fit in Manitou, you say a little prayer on the way because you don't want to have to test fit twice. And it's just a great start to the week for it to fit perfectly!

This Krafted Homes deck will be outfitted with a top rail wide enough for friends and family to set down drinks while they hang out and enjoy the outdoors. The stair rail will be outfitted with vertical posts to maintain code compliance, and make sure little heads can't fit through or get stuck. And the use of vertical instead of horizontal ensures no climbing up the railings. And finally, a matte black powder coat finish will keep the railings looking spotless for years to come!

To celebrate President's Day today, we drilled 44 holes in concrete! Just kidding, we didn't do it to celebrate any Presidents. That would be weird. But we did do it to install safety railings on newly-poured outdoor stairs for a group of townhomes on the west side of Colorado Springs! And may I say, the traffic today was pretty nice!
