Little weld project. Broken stainless exhaust from a bike. Was given both pieces and they lined up perfectly.

Cleaned up the area really well and burned it in. Not the cleanest because the metal is "dirty" from use. But it'll hold just fine.

One of the biggest maintenance items to watch on a 6.2/6.5 diesel is the harmonic balancer. This was the old one that came off of the 97 suburban.

While going with a fluid dampner is best. Changing out to a new rubber style one is still worth doing and more budget friendly.

97 6.5 turbo diesel Suburban engine repair: Coolant system being pressurized when running, loss of coolant. Diagnosed as a bad head gasket. Decided to change both as the engine had 415,000 miles on it at the time. Replaced with new heads and headgaskets. Truck is back on the road and running well.
