Porcelain pavers make an excellent surface for rooftop decks in areas with harsh winters because they are not susceptible to the freeze thaw effect. Other materials such as concrete, absorb water which can expand, leading to cracking of the surface. Porcelain pavers nonporous surface allows them to absorb less than 0.5% of moisture, maintaining their integrity.
