Sometimes it’s nice to take a break from estimates, material lists, and complicated projects.

Today was one of those days. Just a simple stick pickup and cleanup job. No blueprints, no measurements, no figuring angles—just some fresh air, a little sweat, and a pile that needed moved.

A little personal post today.

A few months ago, I felt stuck.

I was working long hours, coming home exhausted, missing time with my family, and despite working hard every day, it still felt like I was barely getting ahead. I knew something had to change.

After a lot of thought, prayer, and more than a little fear, I took a leap of faith and walked away from a job I’d been at for 5 years to put everything I had into The Rented Hubby LLC.

I’m 37 years old and have been working in construction since I was 16. Over the years I’ve done just about everything—from digging footings and foundations all the way to roofing and finishing work. I’ve worked on decks, stairs, siding, repairs, landscaping, property improvements, and a little bit of everything in between.

Starting a business isn’t easy, but I believe in hard work, doing things right, and treating people fairly.

Now I’m asking the community to put a little faith in me the same way I’ve put faith in myself.
