A former truck route is now a people-first gateway in downtown Rogers 🚶‍♀️🚲

The S. Arkansas Street Gateway Project was designed to better connect the community to Railyard Park while improving safety for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists. With features like raised intersections, a road diet, bike facilities, ADA-compliant sidewalks, and upgraded utilities, this corridor proves that smart design can do more with less even within a 50-foot right-of-way.

Completed in December 2023, the project is already helping spark private investment and breathe new life into downtown Rogers.

We’re excited to share the promotion of John Trahan to Department Manager of CEI’s new Construction Administration Services Department.

John has been part of the CEI family since 2002, growing with the firm and building a career rooted in leadership, consistency, and trust.

With more than 10 years of experience as a Project Manager, he has played a key role in delivering complex projects and supporting teams across the organization.

Throughout his career, John has contributed to a wide range of projects including distribution centers, data centers, retail and fueling facilities, aviation projects, campus environments, and large-scale maintenance programs. His broad experience, calm leadership style, and deep institutional knowledge make him a natural fit to lead this new department.

Known for his steady approach, mentorship, and ability to guide projects from early planning through completion, John’s promotion reflects his long-term dedication to CEI and the impact he’s made over more than two decades.

It may be December, but great sports facilities are always in season, and CEI is proud to have played a key role in delivering Frenship ISD’s newest high school.

Partnering with BGR Architects, our team provided comprehensive civil design and construction assistance for all outdoor athletic facilities, ensuring each field meets performance, safety, and long-term durability standards.

From site grading and drainage solutions to field layout, utilities, and coordination throughout construction, our focus was on creating high-quality spaces that support athletes and serve the district well into the future. Watching this project grow from early concepts to a fully operational campus has been incredibly rewarding.

Thank you to Frenship ISD for continuing to trust our team, to BGR Architects for the collaboration, and to Hellas Construction for delivering exceptional craftsmanship on the athletic facilities.
