A construction site in Florida this week where they are setting the second of four biotower. These are controlling extremely high levels of hydrogen sulfide generated in the sewer system. Tower 1 has been on line for less than 4 weeks and has already hit its treatment target.

Checking in on the performance of a 2020 installation. It was 12 deg outside.. this is a two stage unit (bioreactor followed by carbon polisher). The polisher is bypassed, the bioreactor is working great. My hands after about 30 min in that lift… not so much.

Last week I had the pleasure of checking in on a 2015 installation down in Florida. Lucky me, Tuesday after a long holiday meant the pump trucks at this septic offloading facility were backed up for a mile. A serious odor challenge but no match for one of our robust two-stage bio reactors!

20 years in the Composite manufacturing industry and 15 in the design of odor control systems. The bottom line is important, but so is having a reputation for impeccable service / quality. Dual media H2 leaving our Texas factory today. Insulated to prevent internal condensation. Not always the lowest price, but you will never find better value.

ECS ENVIRONMENTAL SOLUTIONS TWO-STAGE BIOLOGICAL UNIT SELECTED TO TREAT COMPLEX ODORS

After evaluating biological treatment options the ECS BioPac DS was selected to treat a odor at a treatment plant in South Florida. The unit is a combination of two proven ECS Biological offerings.

Stage one of until utilizes BioPac and a hybrid irrigation system with recycle option to reduce water usage. With less than six seconds of contact time this stage will affectively reduce extremely high influent H2S levels by over 98%.

Stage two will remove remaining H2S and take care of an extremely complex / high concentration of organic sulfides. BioPure-DX is a proprietary media manufactured by ECS to increase removal efficiency of these compounds.

Unlike other biotechnology evaluate the ECS Hybrid unit is a true green-based technology. Often overlooked in biotechnology is the use of water which becomes especially problematic in applications where potable water is being utilized. Acid generation is a bi-product of biological treatment, the ECS hybrid keeps it to a minimum.
