It’s Shootout Time!! Dennis will not be able to make it down to the shootout this year, but Talin Turner will have spare motor parts, backup motors, etc. He also will be able to help you, if you have any questions or concerns, and if not he can get ahold of Dennis. Talin is located at the trailer with the 10T and 93. They are behind Frank Flud and D1’s trailer. If he’s not there you can get ahold of Dennis, for contact info. Sorry for any inconvenience. For any questions or concerns, you can ask Talin, or call the shop.

Interesting new class of Jr. Sprints in the works at I44 Riverside Speedway...

Attention, Attention!!!
We are excited to announce the NEW Beginner Jr Sprint Trophy Class
coming to I44 Riverside Speedway in 2021!
The purpose of this class is to make it easier for beginner drivers and parents to enter dirt racing. This class will give the opportunity for beginner drivers and parents to learn at safer speeds while competing against a more even playing field. This also aims to decrease the starting cost of the sport by taking away the advantage of the latest and greatest expensive chassis/parts that are more beneficial when needing more grip at faster speeds. The reduced age requirement gives younger racers a class to develop their skills that is usually only provided by Kart racing as an option. Ideally, the addition of this Beginner Trophy class should also benefit the Jr Sprint class by reducing wrecks and time caused by the speed and experience difference of beginners.

Drivers ages 5 to 10. At his sole discretion, the Race Track Promoter has the authority to permit an underage driver to participate.

The class is intended as an option for beginner drivers with less than 2 years of racing experience. After 2 years the driver must move up to the Jr Sprint Class.
Chassis: Same as Jr Sprint. Weight requirement to be determined.

Engine: World Formula using the same rules as Jr Sprint, but with slide restrictor. Restricted to a reasonable speed for beginners. Restrictor slide to be determined before the season starts.

All starts and restarts will begin with the drivers at a standing start. No caution parade laps or rolling starts!

This will be a Trophy class to promote fun and learning with a competitive edge. The top 3 finishing drivers will receive trophies that night. No payouts will be given for this class.
This class is provided as an option only. You do not have to enter this class if a beginner. Parents can still enter their beginner racers in the Jr Sprint class at any time.

This is heartbreaking for this small town quarter midget track!! They have been in operation for over 61 years!

There is currently a petition being circulated that they hope to take to their county leaders in order to help their cause. Go to change.org and support their cause listed under “Keep Our Track Racing”

They are also accepting letters that can be written to the county to help the cause. The info on that is in the original post.

Let's get together as the sport and do what we can to help this community and race family.

Races have been canceled tonight at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex. They will try to do everything they can to get tomorrow’s show in.

If you need Mirco and Junior Sprint tires, or Junior Sprint motor parts delivered to Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex for the big Junior show this weekend, you must have you order placed before Friday at 10 AM. You can either call the shop or message Talin Turner.

A lot of money on the line this weekend for the Jr.Sprint class at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex!! Better get your cars ready and make plans to be at this awesome facility this weekend!

All classes run both nights and points for all classes
Friday gates open at 4. Hot laps at 7 races at 7:30
Saturday gates open at 3. Hot laps at 6:30 races 7.
JR CLASS ONLY: entry fee will be $100 for the weekend this includes your pit passes! The format for Friday night is as follows: pill draw, heats will line up straight up from pill draw. Feature will be lined up from passing/finishing points from the heat races. The TOP 6 from Friday nights feature will lock into Saturday nights show!!
Saturday nights format: pill draw, heats will line straight up from pill draw. The TOP 6 lock ins will run their dash during the JR heat races. The feature will line up off of passing/finishing points from the heats.
PAYOUT for JR’s: 1:1,000. 2:500. 3:300. 4:275. 5:250. 6:200. 7:175. 8:150. 9. 125. 10/24:100
Payout for Friday night will be a weekly payout!
