So it is time to put my foot down and say that the Ekdahl FAR is done and it's time to make the first production run.
I have decided to be very cautious so the first run will be very small; 5 units. Despite rigorous planning i won't actually know the true cost or labor time until i actually start the production so i have settled on a first price of $2300. Understand that this is very conservative and future batches may have a lower price if possible. For the first batch i will have to invest in a number of tools and supplies that will make me able to hopefully produce more units in the future, this is part of why the price is set as it has and also why the deposit for the first units will be $1000.

Introducing the Ekdahl FAR, what it is, does and how it does it. The items in the video are prototypes / betas but are more or less finished with the exception of a few details that will probably be quite obvious.

In this test I use midi to sequence the Ekdahl FAR (with the monolouge) but made it only control the hammer, the actual bow is controlled with axxe over cv/gate and mute is improvised for the short hammer blows together with some VERY slight fine tune sweeps for more of a phasing than detune effect. Reconfiguring what midi and/or cv does is a breeze now and using both USB, midi and cv simultaneously is fu***ng amazing since they're all good for different things
