The Georgia Institute of Technology seeks and nurtures students of extraordinary motivation and ability and prepares them for lifelong learning and leadership in a world that is increasingly dependent on technology. Georgia Tech is the national leader in undergraduate and graduate engineering degrees awarded to all students, and as well as for female students nationwide
As we enter the twenty-fir
st century, it is clear that the economic, social, and technological goals of our nation can only be met by drawing from the broadest possible pool of people—women and men alike-- with the highest potential for success in scientific and engineering pursuits. The goal of the Women in Engineering (WIE) Program is to increase female enrollments in engineering majors, and once engaged, to ensure the highest rate of retention. The financial support and commitment of our faculty, administration, alumni, and corporate friends is critical to our success and we are extremely grateful for their generous and sustained engagement.
