Lowe Engineers Helps Atlanta Reach New Heights with 1072 West Peachtree Topping Out

On November 7, 2025, the 1072 West Peachtree project officially topped out, marking a monumental moment for the Atlanta skyline. Rising 749 feet across 60 stories, this landmark is now the tallest new building constructed in Atlanta in more than 30 years — and will soon stand as the city’s tallest residential and mixed-use building.

From early planning to final coordination, our Construction Engineering Department at Lowe Engineers has been proud to play a part in bringing this project to life. Nearly every member of the team has contributed in some capacity over the past few years — a true reflection of the collaboration, expertise, and dedication that define the Lowe way.

Congratulations to The Rockefeller Group and TVS on this milestone achievement — and cheers to everyone shaping Atlanta’s next chapter from the ground up.

Huge congratulations to the City of Dunwoody Parks & Recreation for once again being named District 6 Agency of the Year by the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association (GRPA)!

This marks the fifth consecutive year that Dunwoody has earned this incredible honor — a true testament to the dedication, leadership, and vision of the team behind the city’s parks, facilities, and programs.

This year’s recognition comes with even more reason to celebrate. Two Lowe Engineers employees embedded in the City of Dunwoody were recognized for their outstanding contributions:
- David Alexander, Parks Grounds Coordinator, earned the Maintenance & Operations Network Award.
- Kate Borden, Recreation Programs Manager, received the Administrative & Leadership Network Award.

We’re proud of David and Kate for their achievements, and we congratulate the entire City of Dunwoody Parks & Recreation Department for raising the bar year after year and making Dunwoody’s parks and programs shine among the best in Georgia! 🌟🌳

Progress continues at the Jones Bridge Road intersection at Sargent and Douglas Roads! Crews have installed sections of the trail, curb, and gutter, with storm drain work ongoing. The project widens travel lanes, adds turn lanes, and improves traffic flow with coordinated signals, while enhancing pedestrian access with new sidewalks and multi-use trails.

We’re passionate about investing in the future of our industry—and that starts with the classroom.

Lowe Engineers COO and longtime Georgia Tech instructor, Bill Daniel, is helping shape tomorrow’s civil engineers through the university’s Geomatics course. This year, students are learning with brand-new Leica Total Stations and a DJI Matrice M350 RTK drone—some of the most advanced surveying equipment in the world.

From GPS-integrated data collection to creating 3D maps, these tools give students a true hands-on experience that mirrors the work our survey teams do every day. We’re proud to see Bill and Georgia Tech leading the way in preparing the next generation to build smarter, stronger communities.
