Employee Spotlight: Brandon Oakley — Atkins, AR | National Trailer Source
Brandon Oakley grew up in western Oklahoma in a small town on a cattle farm, where he spent his time playing sports and showing cattle and hogs. He started working at The Trailer Store in Atkins in 1997 as a trailer mechanic while attending college. He later graduated from Arkansas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in Ag Business and moved into sales in 2003.
In 2013, he stepped into a leadership role at the Atkins location under Big Tex Trailers and has continued leading the store ever since.
In 2018, the location was purchased by Bubba Paschal and became part of the P&P team, which later merged with NRS Trailers. Today, Brandon is proud to be part of National Trailer Source and says one of the biggest highlights has been the positive culture shift over the past several years. He values being part of a company that truly cares about both its employees and customers.
What Brandon enjoys most about working with customers is helping them find a trailer that becomes part of their family’s memories. He appreciates the family-oriented nature of the equine industry and takes pride in building long-term relationships—having now worked with second- and even third-generation customers.
Outside of work, Brandon has a band that performs country and southern rock a few times a month. He also enjoys spending time with his grandkids and sometimes gets the pleasure of driving Kellye (his wife) to her barrel races.
A fun fact—Brandon was the Oklahoma State Class A pole vaulting champion in 1991! With his musical talent, he has had the opportunity to open for several well-known country artists.
When you’re in the area, be sure to stop by and say hi.
